Michael Crichton's latest offering on Genetic Technology. A Nice book if you are interested in learning what is happening in the Genetic world. Talking Parrots and monkeys with the human gene in them. The Book was more towards urging governments to ban gene patents. As i told people will like this book if you like the MC style of writing.

Khaled Hosseini's first book it was recommended by a sales clerk in Landmark in chennai (Hats Off Sir). An excellent book about friendship and it's betrayal all set in Afghanistan Post Russia conquest and also talks about the Taliban Regime. Highly Recommended.

My Kitchen was leaking from the roof before i went to Chennai 3 weeks back. The Management at my apartment tried in Vain to find the leak and they even redid the roof plastering and finally came to the conclusion that it was one of the Pipes that is leaking. The leak has spoiled the cabinets in the Kitchen and the smell of rotting wood Ugh !!!

How low can a Airline go ?

I have now made it a habbit to travel by this airline from Singapore Chennai and return. The reasons being that this is a "No Frills" airline and the prices are quite comptetive when compared to the other airlines in the same sector.

They have a few funny policies... When you travel from Singapore to Chennai you are allowed 30Kgs per Ticketed Passenger and while travelling from Chennai to Singapore the Luggage gets restricted to 20Kgs per person. Not sure what the Logic behind this restriction is. It is normal for people to carry more luggage when comming back from their home town and not the other way round. Even if they dont buy anything they should be allowed to carry back the same 30 they bought from the Origin city. Is this a cheap trick by the airline to collect the fare on a different head ?

The best part of the flight was the movie. They show a movie but dont provide you with headsets and they expect you to purchase these from them at a 2$ rate. I have travelled my share of "No Frill" Airlines but have not seen this.
